Kochi: Electric three-wheeler manufacturer Altigreen opened its first retail experience center in Kochi. Altigreen is India’s leader in three-wheeler cargo electric vehicles. The Bengaluru-headquartered company’s electric three-wheelers have been a huge success in the Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi and Lucknow markets. EVM Group is the distributor of Altigreen vehicles in Kerala.
The newly opened Kochi centre is the fifth dealership opened in India this year. Altigreen Founder and CEO Dr. Amitabh Sharan, EVM Group Managing Director Sabu Johny and others were present during the opening ceremony. neEV, Altigreen’s commercial three-wheeler, has been designed and developed through continuous testing and advanced research. More distance coverage on a single charge, shorter charging time, high ground clearance, and easy drive even on rough roads are the features of neEV.
Altigreen holds 26 patents in three-wheeled electric vehicle technology. The company is all set to launch a passenger three-wheeler soon. All components of Altigreen vehicles are manufactured in India. The manufacturing centre is located in Bengaluru. The company recently received funding of Rs 300 crore from various investment firms.
The leading automobile distribution company, EVM group is the dealer for Altigreen vehicles in Kerala. For EVM, Kerala’s largest automotive retailer in terms of number of brands it handles, it’s the first three wheeler dealership. Sabu Johny, Managing Director of EVM group said that the shift towards electric vehicles is picking up momentum and will be in full swing in another couple of years.
